I wanted to create a vegan chocolate smoothie that tastes like a chocolate ice cream milkshake. I also wanted to make sure every single ingredient is healthy and good for you! I do like to have a delicious and healthy dairy-free smoothie in the morning for breakfast. Unlike a milkshake, you can make this smoothie anytime, every day!
Vegan Chocolate Banana Smoothie

Ingredients
- ¾ cup water
- 1 date, seeded and pitted
- 10 raw almonds
- Dash of vanilla extract
- ½ cup stemmed and torn spinach leaves
- 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup ripe banana slices, frozen
- 1 Fuji apple, chopped
- ½ cup ice or 4 ice cubes
Instructions
- Place date in water and let soak 30 minutes.
- Add all ingredients in blender in the order listed.
- Select the Smoothie Program and blend until smooth.
